We have a focus on prevention and timely intervention, especially for our frail and elderly adults. We aim to empower and educate to support our clients to be effective advocates for their own health, and/or that of a loved one. We facilitate autonomy and power of educated choice, especially in a most vulnerable time of life.
Anabel has eight years experience working with adults in acute, community, rehabilitation and aged care. Her skills are unique to rural Australia as she specialises and is highly trained in adult Neurology/Neurosciences; degenerative neurological conditions, stroke, traumatic brain injury and complex airways management. She began work in North Queensland and after re-locating to the UK specialised at the Royal London Hospital (RLH). She and her team at RLH were on the frontline managing acute, critically ill patients suffering from COVID-19 during the global pandemic. This experience enriched a particular passion for driving innovation and incorporating the latest evidence and technology in assessment and intervention. With the overall aim to provide best client and quality of life outcomes in a rapidly changing healthcare environment. After focusing on her career and advancing her skill set in London, she has returned to her hometown of Tamworth to be near her family, where she is able to deliver high standards of care through her personalised Speech Pathology service.
Our Nurse, Sarah, is our latest addition to the team, bringing valuable skills from her background in critical care in the UK. Trained at the Royal London Hospital, she excelled in acute intensive care, neurosurgery and trauma, and further developed her intensive care skills at Tamworth Base Hospital. With a seamless transition into Australian healthcare, she has also made her mark in general practice.
Sarah's exceptional commitment was notably evident during her tenure in a London ICU amidst the COVID-19 crisis. During this critical period, she tirelessly navigated extended shifts and played an integral role in pioneering medical care and innovation during one of the most challenging periods in modern healthcare. Now, Sarah is set to specialise in community care, aiming to deliver specialty services with a personal touch to our local community. Her journey from the NHS in the UK, to the Australian healthcare system is a testament to her dedication to patient care and professional growth. We are privileged to have such a skilled and compassionate professional join our team.
